Winter Activity

This week's Winter Activity Overnight Camp will be on Saturday Feb 20th, 2010 at the Philadelphia Zoo's Roars and Snores program in Philadelphia. We have a great turnout - we'll be 59 people this weekend!

Please use the form here to submit the driver information for your carpool vehicle!

The "Zoo Overnight FAQ.pdf" attachment below has answers to lots of your questions, including what to pack, what not to pack (no electronic toys), etc.

All scouts should be in uniform Saturday night. Sunday uniforms are optional (hint: T-shirts would be good).

Remember to eat beforehand - and there is no outside food and drink allowed.

Though this is subject to change, this is roughly our schedule:

8-9:30p Evening hikes and animal experiences - hike around the zoo, visit animals, get the inside scoop and chat with staff!
9:30-10p Gather for a late night snack and relax for a bit.
10p-11p More activities, activity badge work, etc.
11p-11:30p Get readyfor bed
11:30 Lights out
-----
7:30-8:30 Wake up, pack, load gear into cars and eat. Help clean up sleeping area!
8:30-8:45 Morning Hikes begin. Here is our chance to see the zoo "wake up".
