Boys can begin being Cub Scouts in 1st grade.  In fact, 1st grade is the best time to start - the activities are fun, the boys learn skills and the scouts and their families get to know each other well as they rise through the ranks - Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos 1 and Webelos 2.  However, boys are welcome to join Pack 43 at ANY point in time!
